When is the pageant?

The Little Miss Buford and Miss Sweetheart of Georgia Pageant will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024. The Interview portion will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024.  Interview is not required - it is an Optional competition.

When is the registration form due?

The registration deadline date is January 10, 2024. 

ALL form(s), optional photos, and payments must be submitted by that date.

How much does the pageant cost?
Each pageant has a $65 registration fee or you may pay $80 to enter both. There are also optional areas of competition in which contestants may participate. Optionals include: Best Smile/Hair/Dress is $30; Interview is $30; Photogenic is $10 per photo to be judged; and People's Choice. There will also be an optional informational workshop/rehearsal for $30. The date for the workshop is Monday, January 29, 2024.  Payments should be made online when completing your registration.

 

How can I be an Ambassador?
You may purchase an Ambassador title for $250.

The Ambassador title includes:

• Recognition on the Ambassador page in the program book with a headshot photo and the contestant's name (this is not a a full page ad as in past years)

• Full Pageant Entry including ALL Optionals (Prettiest Smile/Hair/Dress, Interview, Pageant Workshop/Rehearsal, People's Choice, and 1 Photogenic Photo) 

Each participant will receive a trophy and crown.

How are the age divisions split up?

• Baby: 0-18 months

• Toddler: 19-35 months

• Wee: 3 years

• Petite: 4 years

• Young Tiny: 5 years

• Tiny: 6 years

• Jr. Princess: 7 years

• Princess: 8 years

• Jr. Young: 9 years

• Young: 10 years

• Jr. Preteen: 11 years

• Preteen: 12 years

• Jr. Teen: 13-14 years

• Teen: 15-18 years

*Age groups may be split or combined, depending on numbers, at the director's discretion.

** Interview is open to all girls ages 5-18. 

How do I register?
Simply complete the online registration along with any optional forms and submit payment.

What are the program ads for?
You may purchase/sell ads for the program book in order to qualify for the Jr. Supreme or Supreme Ambassador titles. Ad sales are NOT applicable toward registration fees.  For more information, please visit the Program Ads page. 
 

When are program ad pages due?

All ads must be purchased and submitted by January 10, 2024.

What is the difference between the two pageants?
The biggest difference between the two pageants is eligibility. You may register for one or both pageants. To participate in the Little Miss Buford Pageant, girls must live full time at a Buford mailing address or attend Buford City Schools. The Miss Sweetheart of Georgia Pageant is open to all girls who live within the state of Georgia.

 

What if my daughter won the pageant last year?

If a contestant won the Miss Buford or Miss Sweetheart of Georgia title in 2023, she may not compete for the same title in the same age division in 2024. For instance, if a contestant won Miss Jr. Teen Buford in 2023, she may not compete for Miss Jr. Teen Buford in 2024, only Miss Sweetheart of Georgia. For another example, if a contestant won Miss Jr. Teen Sweetheart of Georgia in 2023 and is not eligible to compete for the Miss Buford title, she may not compete in 2024 in that age division.

Will there be a photographer there?
Yes. We will have a professional photographer available if you would like to purchase a photo package. Additionally, the photographer will take pictures of the winners that will be released after the pageant.

Is there a cost of admission to the pageants?
Yes, the price for general admission tickets are $5 per person.

The pageant will be held at Buford High School Performing Arts Center.

Is there a Clear Bag Policy to enter the Performing Arts Center?

Yes, for safety and security, BCSS will be enforcing the Clear Bag Policy for guests.
